Jim III is on the far left next to the kid holding up the trophy. Last weekend his team, the Mesa Prep. Monsoons, dominated Glendale Prep. to win the Great Hearts Academy Championship.

He made great improvements this season. He started on the offensive line as a right guard and by the end of the year was doing a very nice job of opening up a hole for his running backs. He also played defensive right guard a fair amount. He was the lineman who most often when both ways. In the Championship game he made a solo tackle on a running play. So, it was quite a banner day.

It is was of the major advantages of a smaller school. At a larger school I don’t think he would have had the opportunity to play nearly as much.
