I’ve invited a group of folks from Chalice Christian Church to meet in our building the day after the election to discuss ways in which Chalice can be a voice for justice in the world. We’re going to start slow and chew on what we think we can do. As we say in church, what we’re called to do. We are starting the day after the election because justice is necessarily a political issue, but it does not necessarily have anything to do with elections. Whoever is elected in November, Christians are called–IMHO–to work to influence those leaders to do what it right.
Anyway, I’m excited about it. And, if you’re reading this, you’re invited to attend: Nov. 5 at 7:00 p.m., Chalice Christian Church, 15303 S. Gilbert Rd., Gilbert, AZ
